Overview

In my Capstone project, I developed a comprehensive suite of improvements across our organization's digital infrastructure to enhance workflow efficiencies and security. The project was composed of several smaller initiatives.

Google Drive for External Media Exchange

I implemented a secure Google Drive to facilitate media exchanges with external editors, ensuring robust access controls were in place.

Network Shared Drive Setup

I configured a network-shared drive that enabled internal teams to access and collaboratively edit video footage, which streamlined the editing process and eliminated the need for physical media transfers.

Automation Scripts

I crafted multiple automation scripts to streamline operations. This included Python scripts for renaming audio files and comparing directory contents to ensure consistency across media files.

I also wrote two Google Apps Scripts specifically designed to search for and reuse pre-existing media clips and translations. These scripts help in significantly reducing redundant production efforts and translation costs by automating the reuse of existing resources.

SMB and FTP Server Implementation

I set up SMB and FTP servers to facilitate the internal exchange of media assets and secure backups of media files, enhancing data security and recovery processes.
